Hello Church,
We have the privilege of sharing in some tremendously rich gospel partnerships. We are in close fellowship with the other 13 churches in the Trinity Network of Churches with the prayerful ambition of seeing church-planting churches right across Adelaide and South Australia. We pray for the ongoing work of our good friends at Bush Church Aid, Evangelical Students, Engage Work Faith and Bible College SA. And this Sunday we have the joy of welcoming Tamie Davis from CMS who will help us reflect on the privilege and practice of thriving gospel partnership. Tamie and her family spent many years living and working alongside local Christians in Tanzania. They experienced the benefit of deep partnerships both with those that they served alongside, and those those who had sent them. As we come to the end of the book of Romans this is where the Apostle Paul turns our minds: celebrating and investing in rich gospel partnership with others who are serving God in other places and in other ways. All in response to his grace, and all for his glory. It’s going to be a great Sunday together as we reflect on how we respond to the goodness of the gospel in some very practical ways!
Speaking of coming to the end of Romans – on Sunday the 22nd we’ll be casting our mind back over the book as a whole. It’s a great chance to remind one another of the many things we’ve learned along the way, and to wrestle with questions that may have come up for us along the way. At Taste and See on Monday night we had one of the most engaging Q&A sessions I’ve ever been a part of, and I’d love us to make the most of the chance to grapple with some questions together at church too. So, anything that is even vaguely related to the book of Romans is fair game! I’m pretty sure most of our Growth Groups have come across challenging questions that have remained unanswered. So send in your questions via email or come prepared to ask them from the floor!
