Pastor’s Letter – July 3rd

Pastor’s Letter – July 3rd

G’day friends,

As we make our way through this year as a church I’m really thankful we can do that together. Church is a team sport with eternity in the balance, so I count it such a great privilege to be doing it with you!

God has been kind to challenge us to consider how we might partner together financially for the sake of the gospel. So far we’ve had 27 responses to the Financial Partnership form. Some have indicated that circumstances require a reduction in household giving, for others it’s been an increase of $5 per week or even hundreds of dollars per month. In every instance we can be thankful to God for his generosity through his people. The current responses indicate a combined increase in giving of $1927 per month, praise God! We had a goal to increase by $2365 per month from June through to December to enable us to cover our costs for 2022 and plan for growth into 2023. If you’ve completed the form, thank you so much for taking the time to help the leadership team in our planning. If are yet to complete the form, can I ask you to please take a few minutes to do so here.

It’s also been really encouraging to see our passion for gospel partnership reflected in the responses to our serving survey. If you’ve completed a form, thank you! Someone will be in touch within the next two weeks to talk in more detail about opportunities for you to serve. If you’ve not yet completed a form, could I ask you to take 3 minutes now to fill it in here.

Finally, as we seek to do church together, please remember to be praying for each other. This Sunday we celebrate Amity Watson’s baptism. Next week Lauren Hull and the ES team head off on Mid Year Conference. K is serving hard in South East Asia. Our Trinity Kids team are doing a great job adjusting to significant changes and growth. Various households are taking it in turns to get COVID. Of all the ways we can stand alongside each other in the seasons and challenges of life, surely prayer is God’s greatest gift to us for being church together. Why not join us before church at 9am this Sunday to pray for each other and our world?

Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. (Ephesians 6:18)
