G’day Church,
Adelaide Men’s Convention (May 11) and Grace Conference (May 25) are both highlights in our calendar that I want to flag for you well ahead of time. May might feel like a long way off, but tickets are selling fast and I’d love you to have the opportunity to attend. Both AMC and Grace will be tremendously encouraging time with Christians from around Adelaide, and both have got outstanding speakers this year:
- Al Stewart, who is coming over from Sydney for the men, is bold, biblical and a great bloke. Al recently published an excellent book called “The Manual: getting masculinity right” and is a guy I find really enjoyable and tremendously encouraging to hear from.
- Nancy Guthrie, out from the USA for Grace Conference, is author of a number of books that Peta and I have on our shelves from topics as diverse as spiritual emptiness, God’s grace in suffering, and some of our best children’s books. It will be a real treat to have her open up some of the overarching themes of the Bible across a day on Biblical Theology.
Grace Conference tickets in particular are selling very quickly so if you want to get along you’ll need to grab your ticket soon! And to round out the day for the women, there will be a dinner at a cafe near Brighton as a chance to hang out and debrief with our local church ladies. It’d be great to tee up a lunch of dinner for the men too. Details to come…
