G’day Church,
I’ve just got a really brief encouragement for you today. Many of you will have noticed that we’re blessed to have a number of new people joining us at church and various others visiting from week to week. Well, it’d be great if we could do three things to help them out:
1 – please aim to arrive at church no later than 9:45. Most newcomers arrive on time because they’re making a special effort to join in something new. So it’d be great if our church family could be there to welcome them and get to know them. So please aim to get to church by 9:45 tomorrow.
2 – please sit as far forward as you can. It’s not much fun for the newcomer who has arrived early and taken a seat in the front third to then have most of church sitting behind them. And for those who happen to be running late it’s harder to find a seat if the spare ones are all hidden up the front. So please sit as far forward as you can.
3 – please come expecting to be encouraged and praying that you’ll be an encouragement to others. The beauty of church is not actually what happens from the front, but our ministry to one another. So I want to encourage you to come to church expectantly, praying that God would do his work through his people to keep building us up in Jesus.
See you tomorrow!
